Largest telescope in the world installed

In Namibia, is set in the world's largest telescope H. E. S. S. II, an area of ​​600 square meters, it was announced from the University of Hamburg. The press release also states that the devices help scientists to investigate the origin of cosmic rays.

    So this telescope will remain the largest, surpassing even the Meerkat SKA in the Karoo (Carnarvon, South Africa)? Or maybe Meerkat is different because it is not single, but will have many "dishes"?
