Computer viruses will be able to infect humans?!

The boundary between biology and technology are blurring. Computer viruses we know today could evolve over time and threaten us! It sounds like science fiction, but computer viruses can rapidly become a real biological weapons, they are convinced the firm Fortinet.

Already there are scientific papers that draw parallels between the ways in which computers and the human body fight viruses and disease comparison with a series of formulas and coding, writes InfoWorld.

Both viruses follow the same patterns of behavior, including encoding information for the parasitic behavior of the host system. Biological viruses, such as computer, can be changed during replication, which is a nightmare for both doctors and safety experts. Biological differ in that they are able to change the content of information they carry, while a computer only change form.

Some have even compared the DDoS attacks with HIV, since in both cases the goal overwhelm the target.

Living and nonliving world

Research director of security threats in Fortinet Guillame Lovett says that we are on the border between inanimate and living world. Exploring ways in which our organisms fight against intruders - and do so much better than anti-virus computer systems - helps you discover new ways to improve anti-virus attacking computers.

Computer viruses are much larger and more technologically advanced, as biological viruses can not, for example, to use encryption. Fortunately for us - it is not so difficult to be freed.

How could it get to the fusion of biological and computer viruses? Most human viruses are nothing more than DNA or RNA code, which computer viruses can imitate. Boundaries but is slowly disappearing, with the development of all advanced prostheses and devices that assist the bodies, such as pacemakers.

As soon as these devices start to communicate with machines outside the human body, which in some cases necessary, theoretically at risk of infection by computer viruses.

Synthetic virus there since 2002. year. In the meantime, synthesized by bacteria and other organisms, and all of the inserted sintetik DNA  on computers. Therefore, it is also potentially vulnerable, as well as software used for sequencing the DNA of living organisms.

Is it possible to create synthetic viruses that take advantage of the weakness of the host? Time will tell. Comforting is that researchers believe it is unlikely that such technology will be developed for military purposes. Specifically, such a virus could easily infect the military and civilian person who uses it. Bioterrorist is another story ....

The study of high altitude winds

U.S. Agency for Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA has launched five rockets from the eastern states of Virginia, within the project study altitude winds.

The rockets were launched early this morning, at intervals of just over one minute. NASA says the project will help scientists better understand the processes of formation of air currents to about one hundred miles above the earth, in a region where electromagnetic disturbances are common.

Each of the rocket released chemical substance that is formed of white clouds to the scientists, and ordinary observers could see the air currents above. NASA announced that the clouds soon became visible in much of the U.S. east coast.

Two of the rockets were equipped with devices for measuring pressure and temperature, winds that are blowing at that height and speed over 480 kilometers per hour. Electromagnetic flow in this area are also strong and can interfere with satellite and radio communications.

The planet is under pressure!

2012th is the year "Rio +20". Mnogie hope that the UN Summit in Brazil to come to the turning point in international efforts to ensure trajnos and even distribution of resources at the disposal of our planet.

"Rio +20" is a formulation that is aimed at the Earth Summit in 1992. years, also held in Rio. At this summit emerged Agenda 21 development guidelines and the UN Convention on climate and biodiversity.

Another conference? In the months before the "Rio +20" will not miss the conference, conferences and events about common topics such as sustainable development, climate change, energy, water or food. So it is in London, where of 26 to 29 meeting held in March of 3000 experts called "Planet under pressure."

One has to wonder whether the end will all be tired from all of the conferencing and will eventually block the effect of that discussion and proposals on solving the problem. Steffen Bauer with the German Institute for Development Policy DIE says "Planet Under Pressure" is not political, but scientific conference, "In addition, there will be many Nobel Prize winners. This gives hope that politicians will be responding to the recommendations of the conference."

"No fatigue and saturation due to the many conferences," said Marks and Stafford Smith of the Australian science organization CSIRO. He is one of the two chairmen of the conference, "Planet Under Pressure": "Even when the Conference" Rio +20 "would not be complete some concrete results, it will be" an ideal forum for a political approach to the problems of sustainable development. "Months before he sees Rio an ideal time for another great conference, because, he says, it is constantly and actively offering solutions.

Challenges and solutions indications

Not surprisingly, the conference motto: "Knowledge Solutions". The event, organized by the Royal Society and several other organizations, has ambitious goals to tackle the global changes. "We want to summarize the scientific progress of the last ten years and then make a plan for the next ten years when it comes to global changes," says Stafford Smith. Climate change is one of the major challenges faced by a seven billion people on our planet. There are other challenges, such as over-exploitation of natural resources, environmental pollution, and especially the sea. This is nothing new, says Steffen Bauer, who will also attend the conference. But, he adds, scientific exchange is important because so formulate options for action that can be submitted to the holders of political decisions.

It is important to study the relationship between the occurrence glbalne. If we look at problems in isolation, this often leads to these problems - in other areas. "It is a mistake that we often made in the last 20 years," says Stafford Smith. For example, increased cultivation of plants from which to get natural fuels, has led to a reduction in surface area for cultivating the life of foods. Different sectors must be considered as part of a whole and to the central idea of the London conference. "I hope that this conference different from others just by the integral approach to problems, we want to incorporate in the Rio process," says Stafford Smith.

Ocean existed on Mars

Mars Express, a satellite of the European Space Agency (ESA), has sent new evidence to suggest that the Red Planet, Mars, ocean existed 3 billion years ago. Using your radar, which penetrates beneath the surface of Mars, the satellite has detected sediment layers that resemble the bottom edge of the ocean.

"We see it as layers of sediment, perhaps rich in ice. This is a new, strong indications that there existed an ocean," said Jeremy Mougino the University of California at Irvine.

Scientists have long speculated about the existence of oceans on the Red Planet. It is assumed that there were two oceans, a four-ago, and another three billion years ago.

Venus slowed rotation

Venus turning around its own axis in the last 16 years, slowed by as much as 6.5 minutes, according to a new European space probe measurements.

On the basis of data on the velocity of the surface neighboring planets, which were collected by 90 U.S. and Russian missions Magellan Venus, scientists have calculated that one Venus day is Earth's 243.015.

However, new measurements of Venus Express orbiter have surprised experts because they found that the same parts of the planet are less than 20 kilometers from where they should be according to previous measurements and calculations. In other words, Venus turns on its axis in 6.5 minutes slower than 16 years ago. Similar results are shown and radar measurements from Earth.

Venus Express follows the movements of Venus with powerful infrared detector, which penetrates through its dense atmosphere.

Dr. Are Smrekar, who works at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena said the new results surprised naučćnike.

"At first we were skeptical," said planetary scientist and added:

"I thought that the resolution of 100 kilometers may not be sufficient as a word here about the difference of 20 kilometers. However, after I check the data, I am convinced that the results are accurate. This means that something is slowing the rotation of the planet, and we did not quite sure what it is. "

The culprit is a thick atmosphere?

Scientists believe that it is possible that the causes of friction slowing down as it creates a dense atmosphere of Venus and fast winds. Studies have shown that similarly acting and movement of the Earth's atmosphere, however, to a lesser extent.

The atmosphere of Venus is composed mainly of CO2 and air pressure there is 90 times larger than Earth. In addition, thick clouds of sulfuric acid to its surface speed chase hurricanes.

But the research team Hakan Svedhem Venus Express says that, nevertheless, difficult to discover the mechanisms that cause such a big slowdown in only 16 years.

"It is possible that the cause of the solar cycle or weather conditions that shape the atmospheric dynamics. This puzzle is not solved," said Svedhem.

According to some experts, the cause of the unusual phenomenon could be the exchange of angular moments between Earth and Venus. For example, Moon can slow the rotation of the planet because they both share the angular momentum of the body.

But Svedhem believes that at a distance of at least 38 million kilometers should not be a moment of exchange between Venus and Earth and is believed to be the right answer only to determine the further research.

Scientists designed skyscrapers for "cloud whitening"

Renowned British engineer proposed the construction of towers for the special "whitening clouds" in the Faroe Islands, as a technical solution to global warming and melting ice in the Arctic, which pose a threat to the planet, written by the world media.

Scientists have warned that Britain's environment ministry is possible release of large amounts of methane in the air, which is fueled by melting ice in the Arctic, reports the Index. It is, according to scientists, the great threat to life on earth, and warn that it is possible that for some years led to the North Pole completely dissolved in September.

This is why an engineer Stephen Salter invented a way to "cool" the planet and save the life on it. The Faroe Islands is planning to build a tower that would be "sucked" sea water, and again returned to the atmosphere, thus cooling.

The area covered by ice in the Arctic each summer is less, since the temperature of air and sea in the last few years have increased dramatically. The growth temperature has led to the release of large quantities of methane into the air. If the Arctic ice disappears, the amount of methane in the atmosphere, and on the mainland, will drastically increase and lead to an even greater increase in temperature of the earth. The first step in preventing a disaster just building towers in the Faroe Islands, the scientists explain.

Scientists have learned how to avoid Armageddon

Scientists have developed the technology changes the path of asteroids that can protect the Earth from collisions with the cosmic body.

The researchers plan to influence the motion of asteroids with a change in their ability to bounce the sun's rays.

Cosmic unmanned camera will apply to the surface of asteroid light and dark color elektrostatističku. This will heat up one side of an asteroid more than others.

On cooling the warmer side of the weak reactive impulse, which will allow you to change the trajectory of the cosmic body.

This pulse is usually very weak, and should receive millions of years to get a little change orbits of asteroids, but if you artificially cause a contrasting color, the reaction can be substantially increased.
