Nano diamond treated

American scientists developed a technique for treatment of breast cancer and liver with chemotherapy supplemented tiny carbon particles - so-called nano-diamonds.

Experiments conducted on animals have shown that the combination of powerful drugs used in chemotherapy and nano-diamonds is effective in treating cancer in an advanced stage of development.
Nano-diamonds have helped to cure more easily into the tumors that were previously unsuccessfully treated with chemotherapy.

Researchers at Northwestern University are hoping that this approach will enable the treatment of tumors metastaziranih that in 90 percent of cases can not be treated with chemotherapy.

According to them, the required carbon particles with a diameter of two to eight nanometers, a frequent byproduct of industrial processes, and therefore would not substantially affect the price and availability of this method of treatment.
